Turning the end corners of the channel down to make closer contact with the glass.

It works just bending the edges down with pliers....sod p ing  about with hacksaws  ;D

If you do not want to cut your squeegee channels you could try this first.
Dog ear squeegee rubber
This also works on wide bodied squeegee channels like Sorbo.

Yes they work also.
As said might be best to try that first.  ;)
Before cutting / bending your squeegee channels.  :o
