Horrendous forecast today - wife cancelled her bike ride, I wrote the day off, took daughter to school to avoid the rain.
It's nearly 11am now - nothing!
Cleaned my own windows as an experiment to see what rain and wind will do (still can't believe people pay me for this crap!).
Still waiting for the storm. BBC app has 'warnings issued' all over it.

I know just how you feel - I've just given up and come home. The next job is a very big house right on the coast and I'm guessing that the rain will literally horizontal. It takes up to 4 hours to do and I just wasn't looking forward to a wet and miserable afternoon. :(

exact opposite here dave!forecast was dryish with the odd shower.heavy rain and strong winds since i got up at 8am.
im close to writing the day off but not quite.im all ready to go.ill give it another half hour.if its still raining hard ill sack it off til tomorrow.its the wind thats the real problem.wet and windy is the worst for window cleaning IMO. ::)roll

I tried cleaning my own today and the water was hitting next doors windows which is bad as I'm detached.
But have to agree I cleaned mine on Saturday and today they look as if they haven't been cleaned in six months
I wonder at times why people put up with it.

Weather forecasts are a waste of my time, the MET office are hopeless - no matter what rosskesava says.

The Daily Express does really good forecasts. Much better than those complete idiots at the Met who get it wrong every time all the time.

Cheers Ross, I'll bear that in mind!

Never bother to listen to the forecast as I use to and change my work about and nothing happened.
Don't listen to erm !!!!!!
If it's raining around 5am I know most of the time it fizzles out but 6 if it don't then it's probably there for most if the day turning into that horrid fine rain
-
Forecast was crap here too but I had to take the eldest to nursery as littlest is poorly.
I was halfway to where I'd be working anyway so thought I'll do a bit till I can't be arsed to be wet.
Finished the whole round.
Happy days.

I never rely on the forecast anymore- if I did I would never leave the house!!

Gg4 not working then? :(

worked up til 2.30 today dave until it started driving in hard, quoted a few jobs then slacked it off

Tough to plan with wind n rain .
Wind is our nightmare . Simply pointless trying to clean in wind .
-
Poured down most of the day, put in a full shift, had two walk ups.. happy days

G4 seems to be working well. However it's not going to make up for the general faults of wfp (like spiders nests in top corners or the extra dirt on top openers). I'm very/b] critical of my own windows and can honestly say I've not done a perfect job in eight years. :)
Only the second day with it, I'm not expecting miracles - just a bit more shine maybe and wetter rinsing.

Oops, went a bit mad with the bold button. ;D

I found weather fine today, a bit windy this afternoon. I had the 65ft nlite out this morning at 7am, wasnt much of a struggle that what was expected. I worked through the rain throughout the day. Overall a good day thankfully.
