Call Nathanael Jones, you wont go wrong with him, he really know's his stuff building websites.
He did mine for me summer 2013, over the moon with it, cant fault it, I would say nearly 100% of my work
comes from the website.
Best regards
Lal

Www.suffolkdesigns.co.uk he did my www.thompsonprovaleting.co.uk site for 300 and will be doing me a duplicate window cleaning one for 100. Ranks top 3 of google for the keywords I wanted
-
All you say 100% comes from your website, how much do you pay a month to get on google. How do you get your page noticed ? I've got a web page but don't know how to get it out there, I've got it advertised on my van but that's it. I was told you need to pay hundreds a month to get first page on google

someones pulling your leg, i managed to get my own window cleaning site on 1st page of google for window cleaning "my local town" keyword in about 4 months using nothing but worpress and yoast and googling how to seo.
tso host 5 quid a month hosting is all i pay on my own site
now my site isnt as good as a pro site in both design and seo but still 300 quid should get you a decent site with a 1st page rankings for akeyword or two, expect to pay up to a grand for a really nice site or more i suppose, but monthly i wouldnt want to pay more than a tenner for hosting max
-
Well said - TSOhost are a fantastic company & they have all my hosting business, I couldn't recommend them more.
SEO is always better done yourself than outsourced - the companies that charge $200 a month to "get you first in google" are nearly all bad news,.. it does work short term but the techniques they use to get you up there fast are often dodgy & can have a negative impact long term,.. using Yoast SEO plugin with Wordpress is a great way to start, updating your blog every week really helps too, and keeping all your company social media accounts active (And getting interaction from your fans on them too) can play a big part too.
No one knows your company better than you, and no one will put more effort into it than you - so if you have the time do all the ongoing stuff yourself. ;)

So how do I go about getting my page recognised apart from me advertising it on vans and headed paper ?

You need to do your on-site titles, tags, keywords, descriptions & headings perfectly first of all, and then you use your blog page to add more keyword rich content. Once the main site is properly setup, having active social media accounts for your business helps, as well as a google places listing and listings in online business directories.
Even simple things like adding the website address to all your forum & e-mail signatures helps. ;)

You're doing ok penny wise, aintchya. Bung Nat £400 and don't worry about it again.
It'll be pennies well spent.

Pop me an e-mail mate & I'll talk you through it! info@avondhu-internet.com
There's 2 completely separate parts to getting your website in Google:
First you need to make sure your site is built in a way that makes it very easy for Google to understand who you are, what you do and what areas you cover - this is the "on-site" optimisation and up until recently this was often enough on its own.
Second is the "off-site"optimisation like having active social media accounts, getting a google places listing, having your website link in forum signatures and getting listed in local business directories etc etc. Google expects any website worth looking at to make a small splash in the pond,.. if there's no sign of your site outside of your site, you haven't made a splash, so Google will think you're unimportant.
Third (bonus SEO) is adding new, quality and unique content to your website regularly - usually by way of a blog. If you're going to spend money on SEO, this is where I'd recommend spending it. You can usually get content writers to knock up Google optimised blog posts for about £8 each (600 words),.. so £32 a month will get you 4 new blog posts every month and long lasting benefits from it. Personally I hate writing blog posts, so its one of the few things I recommend actually spending money on! Just be careful to get someone who's first language is English & who has a decent grasp of spelling & grammar as Google does notice poorly written content & it doesn't give nearly the same benefits. ;)

Pole king it don't wanna chuck more money down the drain if I don't get any work from it as I paid a fair bit to have the page desiges and hosting costs. If I knew I was going to get so much come in that covers the lay out and stuff then I wouldn't mind paying m8.
-
So Nat,
Is it true that having your website listed in this forums signiture will help with seo?
-
No it won't as Google doesn't have access here.

Why not?

You'll have to ask admin that. It's all down to the settings they choose to use for the forum.
Of course they may have changed it but that's how it used to be. People posting signatures with website URLs on them and all sorts of other SEO gumph as almost certainly up until now been a waste of effort.

Fair enough I suppose

Copy and paste the following in to Google.
Cleanitup zealwindowcleaning.
Are there any pages listed in the search results that are from this forum with posts that you've contributed to? Nope. Cos Mr G doesn't come in here.
-
I literally only put my website on here about 20 mins ago
-
Okay. Try any other persons signature along with the words cleanitup.

So Nat,
Is it true that having your website listed in this forums signiture will help with seo?
Not on this forum - but on other forums it helps. ;)

With respect Danny you can't have paid that much for your basic site and hosting costs peanuts these days even with Tsohosting one of the best if not the UK best . ;)

I reckon mine paid for itself within about 6 weeks, Danny.
Maybe less.
Think I paid less than £400 (in was in Euro's)
Honestly bud, just go for it.
Everyone on here really rates him (me included)
In fact, I think its only Susan Dean who isn't a fan (in the interests of balance)
Everyone else who's used him rates him very highly.
-
What's her problem with him?
-
A website is a must if you want more business. I paid about £130 for mine 2 years ago. I'm on page one for most of what I want to be and more often I'm number one, two and three on page one. I pay £50 a year hosting fees and it's paid for itself over and over :)
-
Mike I paid about £300 for the fella to design and word it then another £200 to web host or what it was that gave me 2 years with a free extra year. I then pay £10 or £20 a year for my email name so cost around £500 m8 I think as it was a couple years ago
-
What's her problem with him?
I don't think she had a problem with him, I just remember her saying she didn't really like something and decided not to use him. Might've been her fella who wasn't keen on Nat. Only a vague memory, I was just trying to be balanced.
