so whos braving the weather tomorrow, really behind but dont know if its worth bothering, looking cackkk ::)roll
-
This week just gone managed to hit target. On Thursday started at 1.30 pm and worked til 4 pm non stop and went at a fast pace. Its amazing what you can achieve. Having said that i wouldn't be able to keep that pace up all day every day.
I will go in every day regardless of weather and see what can be done. Even if its a few, it can be worth it. Nothing worse than wishing you had gone in.

tbf thursday and friday looking bad already had warnings out, not bothered by the rain its just theses strong winds and rain together , pain in the bum
-
Flippin jealous of gary999 and his digestives right now.
Good month to take a holiday mate. :)

I'm that far behind , that I'm basically starting a new 4 week or 6 week rota , so I could be upto date .
Rain all week
-
Nope, doing IPAF tomorrow.

Totally agree. When it's raining before you go out you um and arr, but if you're out and the weather changes I tend to carry on.

I have a tv in van. When bad, get flask out and watch tv. When it baits, crack on

Ive not missed a single job in over two years, I dont think this week will be any different
-
Looks pretty dire nearly all week for Brighton.
It's not only the problem of the rain but it'll be high/strong/gale force winds as well.
Most of my work is near the coast so there's the added problem of salt.

Had a similar job yesterday but only at ~50ft, a good sized hospital. Got the pole to the first window and the first gust nearly pulled my arms out of the sockets. Try again later in the week I think.

We live on the coast and the work we did Monday Tuesday when we went collecting was filthy so been off since wed .farming forecast looks like it might be bad next three days .looks like will be struggling. Often work in the rain, but wind kills us
-
Wind is pointless . Custies are paying for nothing
-
Not forecast bad here in the north west.20-25mph winds and the odd shower here and there during the day so ill crack on as normal.

Managed to get a full day in, minus a health centre which will get cleaned later this week.
-
I worked from 9 till about 1.30 on a commercial (ish) job. Some of it is three floors above ground but the wind was within safety margins; it helped that I was shielded from much of it by the building's layout. I got pretty soaked though. Finished at 1.30. Not going back out there again.

Same here. The wind and the salt is a bigger problem than the rain.
-
Worked a full day in wind and rain and on some windows they dried a complete mess!
Re cleaned some. Still full day ;D

They will still have been cleaner than if you hadn't cleaned them at all. That's the point of maintenance cleaning.
Good on ya mate. ;D
-
Yeah, I know I may be a bit thick but what exactly is a maintenance clean?
-
Yeah, I know I may be a bit thick but what exactly is a maintenance clean?
A clean that is scheduled on a frequent basis for a relatively small price throughout the year. As opposed to seasonal or one off cleaning like in America or Australia etc at a considerably higher price.
Windows could be cleaned on a sunny day, then it could chuck it down and be stormy the next day. We can't control the weather unfortunately.
-
So it's just really a normal monthly/2 monthly clean then?

I've always wondered but felt stupid asking.
