hi
I have a standing order form for my clients to complete,
Just wondered if where it says TO bank and Branch, does this refer to my bank and branch?
Does the customer send the completed form to my bank?
Benificiary details, means me doesnt it?
I usually set up everything online for my personal standing orders, have no idea about the forms.
Thanks for your help

Going off the subject sort of, but do you get many clients that set up a standing order to you on-line and if so, how do you keep track of who's paid and who's not when you have lots of clients? I'm FAR, FAR from this stage but was wondering for future reference.
Thanks
Ali

Hiya
I'm trying to get as many signed up this way because it will be cheaper than paying in cheques at the bank, and more environmently friendly.
I do have 1 commercial client and 1 domestic client recently set up for it, everyone else leaves or sends cheques.
Using the clients name as a reference you will beable to check your bank statement for when they paid.
what i do then is send a satement type receipt at the end of the month to the clients and its all done.
It's got to be the way to do, saves time, money and hassle.
no-one pays me online yet, but th option is there should they wish to in the future.

Hi Lisa
I am Abi, I will e-mail you my standing order form which is self explanatory. You may find it helpful.
I usually ask for my clients to send it direct to their bank, or, if you prefer send ask them to send it to you so that you can send it to their bank. If this is the case, then include a self addressed envelope with the form. You can also give them the form and ask them to set up the standing order via the internet.
In terms of referencing, I think you should also give each client their own unique reference no. to make it easy for you to check your statement. I think if you just use the name you may find that in the future you have two clients with the same name.
I hope this helps.

???? why do your customers need standing order forms? if you want them to pay online or direct into your account all you need to do is give them your account No. and sort code :P .....your bank and there bank will do the rest.

there are still an awful lot of people out there who either don't have computers or don't know HOW to set up bank transfers on-line. It also gives the customer choice, doesn't it?
Your Standing Order needs to have your account name, account number and sort code on it, as well as the amount of monthly payment, frequency of payment and due date.
I also have one that any of you can have a copy of
