Do you have a habit of throwing it out the back of the van?
Thats an awful lot of repairs.

I got a demo off a lad with one and it would not heat the water very well so I did not bother

I had a perfect heat 1350 last year, the previous owner said the heat was very dissapointing.
It was amazing! I later found out if you didn't prime the pump really well for a few mins on very low pressure then the heater did nothing at all. And this is exactly what the previous owner was doing wrong just firing it up at 300psi and going strait to cleaning.

Magma heater works very well

Worth a look, might pick up a steal if it's in working order. Feed the solution back into the tank while setting up vaccing, pre spray, agitate -come back to the machine and cold tank water will now be warm-hot , then rinse with the heater inline and you should have steaming hot solution at the wand.
Now Mr muzzy- I appreciate this doesn't have much relevence to your origional post so back on topic lol. That's a lot to go wrong on low hours, how is the after sales tho?

Magma heater works very well
on summer time ok
on winter time when using stone cold water from the van, no way, unless you are going to clean very very slow with many dry passes.
prefer to do a good agitation and not to use any heaters,
excellent on upholstery with one jet tool
should be excellent for real porty use when warm water added to the tank
-
Mr.Muzzy have you got Extractas newer porti with the 8.4 motors in?

Do you keep the Magma on the van? You'll lose all the heat on the way down the hoses especially in winter. Put it on your last 25ft hose closer to the wand and you will have steaming hot water no matter how cold the weather

helps only a bit

feeding it icy cold water from your van tank is not really ideal . If u could find a way to preheat your van tank . How bout another inline heater in the van on a seperate cord constantly recirculating the tank water ... and then have your other heater close to the wand .
Your wand flow might be excessive also ? i use a 3flow at about 250psi . I am happy with the heat from the CFR inline if the water in the portable is warm going in , most houses have warm water . If im in a house with cold water i put the enforcers immersion on constant and run the inline heater from another circuit or room .
If im doing upholstery i put in stone cold water to keep it hot , otherwise the thermostat will keep switching the inline off and it ends up less hot .

lewis I have lost the warranty on the machine as extracta went bust a month after I got it off them ,as for fixing it I have to go to brian who was one of the two at extracta ,brian been the better man ,

The Enforcer is still the best portable on the market... whatever your views on Ashbys is... they have produced a fantastic machine and it has everything... power, heat and reliability...

Russ
Not be long till you get a titan 875 ;D
Radek
If you pre-spray and give a good agitation then you will be wanding to quick for any inline heater but if you are giving the heater time to keep up it will work fine if you want heat and work from your van buy a TM or a little giant heater
