The pro 26 (rectus) are much better than the easy snap , i tried easy snap for one day and ditched them .
my pro 26 is almost worn completely away from dragging on the ground and still works fine .

Pro 26
I updated 6-8 months ago and decided to use and abuse to see how long it would last it's been dragged kicked off never released by hand no protector ball
It lasted until 18/12 I will never use ez style if rictus 21 type connector again
Only reason it stopped working us it was thrown off a large flat roof and badly dented I honestly think would have still worked if I hadn't done this
-
Thanks for the replies pro 26 it is then ;D ;D
-
who stocks them?
-
YES, who do you get them from. I use rectus 21 and they don't last a week. Always when I pull hose it pops off. Really makes me mad. I even went to an air product supplier and got a better type. Same thing. I need a top make that lasts
-
I get mine from gardiner as I cannot be bothered to search elsewhere and there just so helpful
-
i went back to ez snap
-
pro 26 with tap from purefreedom (red tap handle) ... not changed a fitting for over 12 months ... ez snap had to change every month
-
Had the same 26 fittings for around 18 months now. Still leak free. I have to yank it like mad to uncouple it because the release is worn but it still works perfectly
I get them from a local hydraulics company if that help at all. Probably more expensive than Gardiners but I think I probably save on postage.

21 or 26 they are all rubbish
I now keep my pole hose permanently o clipped to microbore using a brass hose mender and use a John guest in line connector so I can undo and change poles
Cheaper by far, I can't count the different types of connectors I have used.
All too expensive :(
-
The 26 are expensive but certainly not rubbish.
I've been leak free for 18 months, from one set of connectors costing around £12 for the pair. Hardly going to break the bank
-
I would say yes the pro 26 are better than the ez-snap connectors.
They feel heavier and more substantial than the ez-snap and definitely perform as they should for longer.

pro 26 all day long baby

I cannot believe you guys still use that crap in 2015 get onto the new stuff Asatate fittings from Aqua adaptor got rid of Retus long ago made for air not water or if you are prepared to search Tom Parker s web site. They are better for window cleaning and don`t snag as much and not effected by dirt.

That is good going, my 26 lasted 8 weeks, maybe I'm Ham fisted

Been there, done that.
The pro 26 are better.

I assume you have a few old Ez snap flow controllers in a shed or garage .
Take one valve body and fit a barb fitting to each end microbore fastened to one end and pole hose just pushed onto to other end easy connect and disconnect get plastic tap lever switched for an aluminium one last months without issue
-
They last a lot longer if you protect them properly. Go down to your local electrical wholesaler and buy some cable end caps, a bit like this
http://www.dvpmis.com/page.asp?title=Tapered%20End%20Caps
They come in different diametres so you need two end caps where one will just fit inside the other. Cut a hole in each, one to fit over your pole hose and one for the main hose. When the rectus or whatever coupling your using is joined, then the endcaps fit over them completely. Much better than those balls that get caught behind bin wheels etc. Your connectors are out of site until you slide an end cap down the hose to reveal it.
The end caps I have are bullet shaped and about 150mm in length, cost me a quid each.
