Hello all,
hope you all had a fantastic xmas so far. I am about to embark on WFP use and looking now to purchase a entry system, trolley style. I am learning about it all and want to start using it asap. I have spoken to my customers (not many) as starting out and they are happy with it, thought I would be upfront.
I am after a 2nd hand system ready to with RO set up etc to make pure water but am struggling to find anyhting for sale, I thought there would be loads, so asking here where are the places to find ones for sale, if you would be so kind to point me in the direction.
Also I will want to do three story work on some domestic houses. So what hight would I need to achive that, dont want to go to high on pole but enough to do the job and not to little so its a strugggle.
Well I no you can buy a full system from beeachcroft for £300 but I want to find a 2nd hand one, I assumed there would be loads for sale even some systems that were new at £400-500 would be say £250 2nd hand.
So I am willing to pay £250 ish for complete 2nd hand set up ready to go that someone has been using. thats the whole thing, making the pure, trolley - pole.
or if there is a system out there that is ready to go for £200-250 without the ro pure water making part, I would be interested as can buy the pure in from a local maker.
I was looking at this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/water-fed-pole-backpack-and-15ft-pole-complete-ready-to-go-New/141031785822?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28111%26meid%3D97173b9225bc42f18f34be8fe9ab7e43%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D11472%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D111527807039&rt=nc (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/water-fed-pole-backpack-and-15ft-pole-complete-ready-to-go-New/141031785822?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28111%26meid%3D97173b9225bc42f18f34be8fe9ab7e43%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D11472%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D111527807039&rt=nc)
but wanted to go as cheap as poss and find a 2nd hand one with the pure water making set up too and build up as I go....
Thank you to anyone whom comes back to me, appriciate your time.
All the best
Scott

Scott you wont find any bargains on fleebay, too many muppets who will over bid on anything going.
Great place if you want to sell a used pole or equipment at the same price you paid for it new.

Hello mate,
Thank you for that, I forgot to put any prices in I am willing to pay, it would help.

Think you'll struggle for that budget really.
The bare minimum is;
backpack £100
Small compact ro - £150 (minimum and slow)
Water tank to store water - £50-£100
Gardiners clx 27 - £200 ish? Website is down.
If your buying new then it's about £500 you will need to get fully set up.
Second hand you can pay silly prices, that you may aswell buy new.

Save up more money and buy new.
You could get a second hand RO that could need new membranes and filters and maybe more problems.
Start off on the best footing and buy new I say.

Its annoying that im down South , i got so much in the shed and garden that sits there doing nowt, maybe ebay is the way for me, off the top of my head i have 100 psi pump,175 litre tank ,250 litre tank , 25 foot brodex hydra , 9 foot brodex hydra , brodex brush , gardiner 18 , vikan brushes , superlite stiff , radius stiff , varistream analogue , 45 psi pump , ROsystem ,
I know this dont help you but in your shoes , i would get red hat back pack , maybe a gardiner cos its not much more , Ro can be had for 80 to 100 i think , your prob is the pole cost as you need to go 3 story , by this i take it you mean G,1,2 ?
The only thing i could help you with is the pole , assuming a 25 foot will be long enough , not sure now , i currently use a clx 27 for this , like i say the pole is going to put you over budget , i could let you be in possesion of this pole cheaper than a retailer could by far , but it will only have the vikan or brodex on the end , i will even hose it up for you !
It wont be as light as a clx but it will let you do the work in hand , in fact im gonna go get the mighty brodex and clx and compare the weights , let me know if you want a bargain .

P @ F - Thanks for the advice.
Well, I found a package now, its got a 25ft pole but wondering will it be big enough for three story, ie ground 1st and 2nd. I was told a 22ft one would be big enough but I dont think so. I feel a 25ft might welel do the job for now as I start, could anyone confirm this is ok size? I suppose I will get 28 ft out of it holding it up. In time I will add to it or buy a new pole in March 30ft one, but I wont have two mnay 3 storey ones so dont really want a 30ft pole as heavier.
Thanks for any advice on this. I hope the 25ft is big enough, i messaged them and waiting a reply but none as yet.

25ft will be fine if it's actually 25 ft ::)roll
I would go for a new clx and backpack

Good advice. A lot of suppliers quote 'working height' where they include the height of the operative!! So a "25" could be a pole that's actually 21 feet long fully extended.
Modern buildings tend to be 9 foot per storey, floor to ceiling, so 27 foot(ish) ground to roofline. A pole that is actually 25 foot long would reach most 3 storey windows.

Cheers Ian, I get what you mean, I think the phoenix is 22ft and can get an extention for it for around £40 I have seen on you tube but can not locate it to buy on any web sites, I hope that WCW can actually sell me the package but upgrade the pole to a 25ft one or put on the 4ft extention for the pole and pay the extra. This would be perfect.
Cheers all. Most helpful.
