Looking at getting some kind of set up to make spraying large amount of chems easier. Just did a large new build clean and have done a few in the past and its a pain having to fill up a 5L hand pump sprayer all the time. Looking at getting one of those ATV sprayers/tanks that the farmers use on the back of their 4 wheelers. Northstar make one with a 12v 10lpm pump and 100L tank with lance etc for about £160 but seems hard to get parts.
Any other ideas for around £150 - £200 mark?
Wouldnt be using it all the time hence not wanting to spend alot on a petrol engine etc.

I got an x-jet, just plug it into the end of the lance and away you go, I have a little trolley that carries the 20 ltr drum of hypo which I pull behind me.
Did a 250 m2 brick weave drive in around 5mins and a godsend for roof cleans

Ive looked at the xjet but i wouldnt want to be spraying hypo around like that or be on a building site spraying acid through it. Need something with a bit less grunt and more controllable.
I think the xjets would be perfect for cladding though, and as you say, driveways.

Way over budget but you can get all the parts for them.
You will only have to buy once . I have a couple already built if you want to borrow one if you have a "one off" job.

These are also worth looking at if the mix ratio's are vital...but I think they only mix to about 4%. The good thing is you can join to a hose pipe ,set the solution and it mixes as you spray. It compensates for flow and pressure. You have very little waste of your chemical...unlike mixing a set amount in a tank and spraying were you always mix too much or too little.

yeah thats the type i was looking at. Just made by a different company witb a bigger tank.

i looked into building one. Thats a cheap engine. Just thinking if im spraying acid all day itll be cheaper just running it off a battery rather than having another petrol engine running all day.

It will run all day for £6 ;D...put it on he price of the job. If we work away we struggle with charging batteries etc Premiere Inn won't allow them in the rooms!

Yeah i know what you mean. I can run it off my machine battery for brick cleans as the machine is running at the same time.

I pump a system together a few years ago, Shuflo pump, leisure battery, hose's and lance. cost around £150 I think to build. The pump had Viton seals and handled the caustics we use on decking fine. I got the lance from a company near Manchester, Canadian Pumps.

I have made my own 12v pump box for pumping chems. I havent tried it with acid mind.
It cost me around £35 all in. It just draws the chems from a 25ltr barrel.
If the pump goes bang I will put another £10 pump in. I keep a spare in the van.
So far I have had easily 30 days pumping with it and its still going fine.

I did add a control voltmeter, fuse holder and a flow controller for an extra £12 or so, but after a few weeks I simplified it.
Just battery>switch>pump>battery - easy.
