Morning chaps,

I have a customer that had a limestone patio laid about 18 months ago, it was sealed at the time it was laid.

The sealer that was used seems to have failed as the stone has become really porous. The builder that was running the job has been asked to remove the sealer and reseal as he was in charge at the time, but builders being builders my customers does not have much faith in them.

My question is would anyone know of a product which can remove the current sealer completely? All I know is it has a matt finish (the chap that actually laid and sealed the patio has moved to France so no one knows the name of the product used)

I'd appreciate any advice on products as its a lovely patio and it would be a shame if it was ruined by somebody using the wrong stuff.

Hi chris, I'm afraid no pictures, to be honest the patio is so not sure they would be much help.

Like I say just trying to help my customer before it gets ruined.

I really need pictures or product type to be able to specify something to remove it. Chances are it will be a solvent based acrylic...but there are so many products on the market.

Just thought a picture might narrow it down a bit....if its been im-preg-mated or if it's tropical sealer .
Is it Linestone or not ? (Lysergic) Acid will remove fluoropolymer sealer ....but it's not pretty on limstone innit (but he might getaway with it ,if it is white).
If it's solvent based nail polish ...Xylophone might sort it out.
