Title: Gutter Vac Poles Help!
Post by: Jack Harris on December 18, 2014, 11:37:37 pm
Just ordered a Nilfisk 30t and I'm looking at getting the gutter sucker poles,

which is the best diameter to get the 44mm or 52mm?

Will they all connect up or will i have to order a reducer/cuff for the vac?

Cheers

I'm away all weekend but if you can wait I can email you full pics of my setup, you really don't need to buy expensive hose extension I have another method  also you want 50mm on the poles minimum id say.

People with 50s will say 50 and people with 40s will say 40 fact 😄

I have gutter suckers 44mm and never had any issues in about 2 years but and I must say this... 50mm poles would be my choice lol so get them.

I no the right parts you need to buy if your buying 44mm poles on 51mm cuff but not sure on the others.

Here's the 44mm gutter suckers in action last week

http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/silicone-coupler-hose-45mm-choose-your-length-colour.html

Slide this into the cuff around 10cm in length (cut it to suit) and your pole will fit snug
Don't ram the pole in or you might struggle getting it back out 😄👍

I run it with 50mm vac hose and cuff

What do you need to ask for in the fishing tackle shop if you want a clear nozzle? Is it an angle tube?
Im using alloy nozzles at the moment but its got no give.

I've replaced mine every 12 months give my mum one and my brother the other and both still working great.. It's the filters that may cost this vac a shorter life span by burning the motors out, the filters work ok about 6 cleans then become less breathable you can visibly see this when the filters start crushing in because airs not passing throu correctly. I clean the filters like mad too, give up with them now and things seem better with my own make shift joby.

Hope this helps you a bit.

How did you make a filter mate? Iv got 25 jobs booked in over 3 months in the new year so I need to be prepared lol, so far iv cut up a hoover dust bag and wraped it around the filter, how much are new filters for them? Would it not be best to buy new one every so often? Appreciate your advice btw

I posted somewhere few weeks back Titan sponge filter at screwfix work good but also nylon mesh works the best totally breathable and ultra fine mesh. Pic below
