Post by: Graham Airey on December 17, 2014, 11:15:53 am
Hello, one of the vac motors had just gone on my Airflex Turbo, is there anywhere cheaper than Cleansmart that sells them?

I remember years ago when Woodbrige stared calling theirs AmteK instead of Amtec Cleansmart said the genuine one had water seals to protec the bearings etc.

I thought it was only the public wanting their carpets cleaned that went price shopping ;D ;D

but its a different when you talk about the same product, not a service provided, the same product is on few different websites with different prices, up to the buyer where he goes

I would call cleansmart and ask if they can match the price from other supplier as think they run best price guarantee or something
better to supply from the suppliers where your machine comes from

Lighten up - I thought the smiley faces would give the idea that it was an attempt at humour.

Are all vac motors the same? Cleansmart do two motors one which cheaper and one which is for the Turbo.

And then we have all the crap on ebay,so you are not always buying like for like

What wattage is the WOC one Cleansmart do a 1200 and 1400

The Airflex turbo motor is 1500 watt. £140 @ Cleansmart  plus vat and £78 @ Woc plus vat.
Both are the same model number 117123-13. Therefore, they are both the same motor from Lamb Ametek.

The differential in price is £68.
Nothing to do with 1200 or 1400 watt motors or the Storm. ::)roll

From Cleansmart Web Site

Lamb Ametek 117123-13

Genuine 117123-13 Lamb Ametek vacuum motor with air seal. Don't be caught out by immitation Ametek motors available on auction sites. This is the real thing direct from Lamb Ametek's factory. Fits Airflex Turbo, Scorpion, Mytee Speedsters, Ninja's etc. 1400 watt heavy duty motor.
Total Price: £140.00 (Excluding VAT at 20%)
I would phone World of Clean check number etc as theirs was £138

I think the 117123-13 is called both a 1400w and a 1500w at times , dont matter much .
The plastic horm one is 1200w
the metal horn one is  1400w ( or1500w)

all the motors mentioned above look like ' genuine' 117123-13 suitable for the Turbo , all are from ameteks mexico plant . forget the genuine lamb blurb ...
There aint no Lamb production anymore , this is the USA address for lamb , does it looks like they are producing anything here ... above the grill lol

Can you mount the metal horn version and the plastic one together or do you need to keep them the same
Title: Re: VAC MOTOR
Post by: AJB on December 19, 2014, 12:00:51 am
All 117123 variations of motors are metal horned.
The plastic ones are lower wattage motors, you can
mount them together. ashbys used to fit one standard
and one high lift motor in the Ninjas.
I have run before now with one 117123-13 pulling
through a 116859, but performance is lower than using
2 x 117123s.
I wish I could find a source for the 1500w electros, as all
I ever see are the 1200w.

I didn't think the 6.6s were reliable, but if you have had four years out of it you are doing well
