I'm trying to choose a boiler similar to the 8l An Meny ones which I can't find on eBay, the only ones I can find are ones which are either LPG or Natural Gas, anyone know which one you need or different just want a simple (propane?) gas set up in van? Cheers all from a damp and windy Brighton!

LPG is propane/butane. that is the one to go for not natural gas

Do any of these type of boilers use a 12v for ignition as most I've seen on ebay use 'D' batteries?

You could convert it to 12v but it's more trouble than it's worth.
A pair of Batteries could last you a year.

Thats a relief! I was thinking it would be a new set every week or two.

Most of these boilers are basicly the same all working best on propane.I think butane might burn hotter and not suitable which can freeze it the gas canister so not a good idea for our working circumstances. AS far as the batteries you should be able to get a 12 volt to 3 volt step down switch on e bay I have seen them there. This will eliminate the batteries and make it possible to work of your van`s power. I was searching on the internet and found them on flea bay.Hope this will help someone.
