Title: Gardiner pole buying advice
Post by: Wrekin C S on December 11, 2014, 10:25:06 pm
I want to purchase a gardiner pole

Im considering the SLX 2 but unsure which would be the best length for everyday domestic and occasional commercial work?

Also what brush and gooseneck - to get with it?

I currently use a rectus 21 female going onto a male tap - the purefreedom type reel.

Thanks

You mean SLX-22? Great for domestics, get a swivel resi neck. It takes some getting used to, but you'll love it after a while. Not sure it will be long enough on commercial though.

I use a SLX 25. Normally I use only 2 sections. Now if I got a SLX 18 would I then be using 3 sections?Lots more hassle, but lighter

Not much difference between the new clx27 which I have got and a slx
of almost equilivant length when it comes to weight and ridgity (which a friend
of mine uses) on normal straight up and down cleaning.

However you can feel some difference if you have to support the weight
of the pole fully extended at a flatter angle ,not enough to bother me personally
but I can imagine it would bother a lot of people.
