hi all can i ask how you all make sure the water to your tank cuts off before it overflows? btw i am using a booster pump so would need a solenoid too presumably, unless someone knows diffferent.

You could use one of these
http://www.caravanstuff4u.co.uk/fresh-water-containers/2471-aquaroll-roly-poly-aquarius-water-mains-adaptor-float-valve.html
but i prefer to have an overflow pipe at the top of the tank, especially with a booster. Would think that shutting the outlet could damage the membrane.

thanks for the reply but that loks like a float valve which obviously will stop the water but not the pump

I use this one https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cbm240e-1in-multi-stage-230v-booster-pum it cuts off when the float stops the water flow.
