Title: shed paint spill on patio
Post by: justin cooper on December 08, 2014, 05:12:26 pm
Can anyone recommend something to remove a water based shed paint/stain off a patio. I dont know what type of patio it is till I go to see it tomorrow but she did say it was just cheap nothing special, so im guessing just your standard paving slabs.

So just wondering if anyone's had any look shifting a similar stain.

Cheers Justin

It might come off with just a turbo on it, I never tried removing a wood stain from slabs but have got red gloss off a tarmac footpath by just turboing it off.

Only reason I asked before I tried the turbo is its an over an hour round trip so didn't want to get there to find out turbo wont shift it then have to come back with chemicals.

What you need is a mono rotary cleaner, with a medium brush, some ph neutral cleaner and some honing powder  ;D

Or a big nozzle  ;D

"If I had a little Honda pressure washer that I won on Ebay I would keep it in my shed".

Is it a stain or is it paint?.
The two are quite different on how you would go about removing them.  A Stain could penetrate the surface and could be difficult to remove or it might just wash off . Paint will sit "on " the surface and will  (generally) be a lot easier to remove.

I was quite worried about him as some bloke died after being wrapped in clingfilm and taking ketamine - he was then done by his friend  ;) Sorry was full PPE mentioned ? I'm confused as You can also wrap a poultice in clingfilm

I think it was the word "penetration" that started you off.  Maybe "deep penetration" should have been mentioned.
Carl do you still go to the "mens dress shop" near you? I could do with a catalogue ...Christmas is comeing and I will need something to wear.

Danny

Pay attention it is not pH neutral cleaner you need!  It is either a high alkaline cleaner or stripper depending on the type of paint involved!  Then the Mono Rotary preferably Klindex Rocky and some Honing Powder ;D

That will fly off with HDT&G and Hone 220 and then seal it with Miracle 511 Seal & Enhance to give it a fabulous finish

Simply use hypo and bleach the fook out of that cheap concrete poope as it will kill the algae growth too  ;D

No pressure waher required either just hose it down with a garden hose connected to an outside tap if they have one.

It wasn't aimed at antone in particular - I've got a website as well. I've got all my own photos and I can do everything on my website.

I was going to be a diplomat but those merchant bankers would'nt have me.

My mate got banned from screwfix - they kept telling him it wasn't a dating agency.
