wishing to drain pumps and hose reals, can anyone tell me how to do this so it leaves no freezable water in the hose or pumps, normally will use immersion heater but van is away tonight, will disconnecting the hose reals drain all the water or will some sit in it
-
We blow our hoses out with an air compressor. The pump we just disconnect and switch on for a minute.

soupy that is exactly the answer I was looking for thanks very much for your help

do you think a little 12v car one would work? where do you connect the compressor ?
thanks again
-
Turn your pump off with pole connected to the pole it will drain most of the reel
-
thanks very much will do that
-
When you do this reel out about 10 Mtrs or so of hose reel it in and out again a couple of times it will pump more out from deep in the reel and not just the first say 3rd of the hose

Probably. I use rectus 26ka fittings which are air fittings so can fit directly onto an air compressor.
I have one of these:
