I had a great day ....not

Late out the house , no coffee in so i was grumpy

Got to first job 15 mile away for 10am and no battery in the van ! ! Left it bench charging in the house, wednesday is my biggest day of the week as well - gutted

In the end it worked out ok as i got a call to quote 3 properties all of which were on the journey home and picked up resin which i changed

cleaned the van and did some jobs ... need to work saturday now though :(

I made that mistake once.
Keep a length of wire in the van. Run it from the van battery straight to the pump.
That way, just for emergency (such as yours today) you can actually do some cleaning.

I was power washing yesterday ( helping a mate ) and my two arms are like lead today so took it off.
Give me window cleaning any day of the week, but your right I love this time off the year when everything
is going right and you get a day where the hose snags on nothing.

I was properly mad with myself

I used to be all over the place but this year ive been like clockwork , to the day every 4 weeks, so today i was upset but in the end the woman who collects my daughter from school called at 12am and said she couldnt today so id of been finishing at 2.30 and having to work saturday either way so it wasnt a complete tragedy and i managed to put a quote in for three properties that if i was working would of had to be quoted at night

Glad you had a good day , i need about 13 of them in the next 2.5 weeks , and then i go away and chill :)

Funny isnt it when you do something new it kills you

I started gardening , myself and a mate whod goen self employed bought a small round in summer, i hated every minute of it and would be absolutely goosed after each 5-6 hour day , he loves it and is still doing it , i quit after a month :) he hates climbing ladders and windows , and i love it , i never get tired anymore from the work

I was clearing out gutters on a huge bungalow high on the south downs in a biting constant wind with on/off drizzle that felt like stinging ice after a while, and I didn't even get a cup of tea.

This place was along a half mile mud track full of ruts and when I'd finished, I got to the end of it to find the gate padlocked. I had to walk back, get the key, walk back to the gate, unlock it, return the key to the house, and walk back again to my van.

The air was blue and I didn't care if the woman heard or not.

Dazmondo, how are you getting on with your hot system and hot water hose?

I am putting my gas heater in at the moment, I have it connected up so the water heats up before it goes through the pumps as I have a two man system - this will be ok I assume? So basically the heater is just an extension of my system...

im not sure tom as mines a single operator system and my L5 heats the water AFTER pump.its working like a dream at the moment.no leaks.no back pressure due to dead ending the pump shortly after turning pole tap off.the thermobore plus hose easily handles the hot water. :)
