Hello guys, I have just been asked to clean 3 Canopys for a customer. They are made of material type stuff, any ideas of best way to clean them. Not sure if using a small karcher will this damage them, I don't think wfp even using hot will get ground in dirt out.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

Whichever method you use, start from the bottom and work up.

Are they fabric awnings? I have used Winsol Deep Clean a few times with good results. Window Clean Centre ordered it in for me.

Yes mate they are fabric material type. I am quite confident if cleaning them and have chemical to use but not sure if wfp will do it.
Hey ho will find out tomora.

Jetwash.

How are you pricing them?
Be interested on what you use and how long it takes as I've been asked to do one in the past and I gave it a miss.
Cheers

What about vinyl canopies, anyone clean them and what did you use.
And who do you get your Winsol from?

i posted a similar question to this. answers ranged from hot soapy water and lots of elbow grease to a days work with fancy chemicals. I opted for the first option, and on a canopy which hadn't been cleaned for years, with lots of moss etc on it, i got it quite a bit cleaner, but absolutely no where near spotless. It was very hard work and for the time it would take to get it completely clean, you need to be charging more than the customer paid for the canopy.
I would suggest try calling a company who make canopies, and to strongly advise your customer it needs cleaning every 6 months..
I think canopy cleaning is one of those jobs where either you hate the job cos you're knackered and it pays bad, or the customer isn't too happy cos its cost them £300 to get a canopy cleaned that cost them £300

I didn't manage to clean them today wasn't able to and is going to freeze over this evening. I sprayed them up today with a 'Evans hsc' just a cleaning chemical I some times mix In my water, will jet wash them tomorrow evening may throw a bit of virosol on them if ground in dirt don't move.
Price wise I suppose there only worth about 30-40 pounds each. There not that big and only about 6-9 months old, I reckon 1 hour on each with jet wash. No moss or green staining like advised above keep on top and they will stay fresh

We did some fabric canopies for a school in Luton a couple of years back. Used TSR and a jet wash came up like new.
