Title: ordering from the states

I was thinking about ordering from jon don carpet suppliers in the states,total cost was 228 dollars,they where looking for 221 for shipping.Few valves and a tm vac gasket.Anyone know a cheaper alternative when buying overseas...

Then you've got import duty and vat on top of that. Not worth it for small orders IMO.

  You got ring them and ask them to ship by post USPS .   You should be paying less than 100 euro for that lot .

Look at this large box for around 100 euro ... and it uses ebays pre pay customs etc

you can web chat with jon don,ask question on products,brilliant.What i was ordering would fit in less than a kids shoe box,221 dollars.....dont think so ;D

Just ordered a 4 1/2 inch hand tool with 6ft hide a hose from usa came to just under £170 incl shipping when I go to collect usually pay about £20 custom charges.
