Somebody turn it round for me :D
Professional company, sign written van specializing in conservatories.
-
wow!
Does he know something we dont about the strength of the glass???
-
National company it says on the van. Interesting health and safety proceedures. I'd tell them where to go if they stood on my roof.
-
fitters do that all the time so is nothing new ;D
-
I've seen plenty of fitters doing that, so I suspect it's probably safe.
However, when customers have suggested it to me I point out:
1. Glass becomes more brittle as it ages - UV exposure and repeated expansion/contraction cycles.
2. Did the fitter use the correct 6" bolt that he'd left in the van or the 2" screw he found in his pocket that would be invisible a moment after he'd used it?

turned it around ;D ;D ;D

Very bad idea. My friend has a conservatory that is a few years old. Twice, the inner panes have shattered. It turned out that a screw had been used that was slightly too long and when there was slight expansion in heat, the edge of the glass caught the screw and shattered. The outer pane was fine each time. Now imagine a fault like that which is not yet showing and you are standing on the roof.
No chance. I need more work but not at any cost.

How did he get up there? There's no ladders in sight.
-
walked over from the other side maybe ;D

Unless I am very much mistaken, that is a Vale Garden Houses conservatory.
Is it?
I think the guy is Martin, he lives on my estate.
