Title: How much quicker with hot ?
Post by: Ian101 on November 27, 2014, 03:50:02 pm
Does hot make you more productive on day to day maintenance cleans ?

Is it worth an extra house a day ... or more ?

I was always skeptical that hot water was any quicker. Then I worked with a guy for 8 days who uses hot water on normal maintenance cleans and I was surprised how much quicker it was. It cuts through snail trails (which seemed worse this year than ever before) and bird poo a lot easier and cleans dirtier frames/sills quicker. I would also imagine it would be great to use on conny roofs and GFS. In the new van next year I will definitely get a diesel hot water system and will put the Corwoods gas heater I've got in the current van.

I think hot is a little faster on nearly every job, but it really comes into its own on filthy conny roofs or first cleans - at worst it more than covers the running costs, but if your business does a lot of cladding cleaning & conny cleaning it could make a huge difference.

Definitely made things quicker for me, just seems less scrubbing and seems to melt fly poo etc on upvc!

I totally agree with this. I'm also not the fastest cleaner either hot or cold. But it is brilliant for all the reasons above and ergo, can make a working day slightly less hassle.

Hot is defo the way to go if you want to make your job a whole lot easier. I've been using hot pure for yonks and if it did not think it worked well then I would not bother.

Mind you in cold weather I do get some funny looks with what looks like steam coming from me pole ;D

Its all about better working, easier cleaning etc. Not really much quicker, just more pleasant to work using it. Warm hands = happy cleaner.

+1
I'd never turn my heater off for regular maintenance cleans - even in the middle of summer. It makes the hoses so much easier to work with & the job generally that bit more pleasant, so even if you never do conny roofs/cladding/one-off cleans I still think its worth it.

I'm looking at getting my website re-done next year .

This is my current one-  www.ishinewindowcleaning.co.uk

It is basically a template and cost me £99 plus a fiver a month  but it rates well on google for my area.

If you built me a new nat would i lose all my ranking and have to start again?
