Has anybody done this? I mean the inside roof of course :P
How do you go about doing this? Pictures would be great. Thanks

I've done it, you need to drill holes in the frame of the van , (box section )
I made a bracket and bolted it to the frame it's a bit of a fiddle but worth it.
If your roof is ply lined you need to remove it.
Hope this helps

whats to be gained by this. I would bang my head all the time

Much easier to reel in the hose if you make a shelf and have the reel at waist height.

Smudger gave me the idea, its far better at this height. I am upgrading/upgraded to electric though as although its super easy to wind in, i cant be arsed lol.

I have doe this to create more space.I build a frame ruig across the inside roof at the height I needed and hung the hose reel upside down of it. Am also going electric soon. Busy with it as we speak.

Nice!
How does the guy on the right get on reeling in with his left hand, when I tried this it was awful !! I have to have the handles set on the right side only 😖

Tbh I always do the winding and find either side Easy.
However the next step will be electric reel races lol
