Title: Best anti freeze
Post by: Ashley Brothwood on November 24, 2014, 08:00:36 pm
Hi

What's the best anti freeze to put in the tank to prevent the pipe freezing over the winter. Is it fine to put standard van anti freeze in the pipes or is there a better concentrated chemical thatll work out better value for money

Thanks
Ashley

I'll have a look what the label is on ours in the morning pal. Got it from General Traffic. You don't need anything special.

Most chem suppliers should do a 25l drum of concentrate. Thats what we buy. Works out cheap.
Last ages too.

You can save a lot of anti freeze by using short loop if you run a reel and de watering with compressed air. This also stops the dilution rising too quick as you reuse after each use. Fit a valved T to suck the anti freeze out of the can and then run the RTT to the can. Keep your guns in the warm
