Does anyone ever really use 100m of microbore
50m should be enough for most domestics surely?
i am skint btw or i would just buy 100m
-
I do probably 4 or 5 times a month. Stretch yourself and get the full 100m or you may regret it later.
-
I do several times a month. hate it...
-
if you do runs of house its better to have the 100mtrs saves you keep having to re position your van.
my brother in law actually has 200mtrs on his reel, a lot of work reeling it all in though
go for 100mtrs you'll need it at times

not got any runs of houses yet, and i think i could do the ones i have with 50m at a guess, im using a trolley thats all and i hate it, i shall get 100m then, hate stretching the old budget :P

Not often. Just buy 50m, then if you find you need more you can always buy another 50m and join it by way of a barb. And just to add, in the past i was consumed with not moving the van and dragging the hose everywhere across streets. As its turned out for me, i will move my van . Its far easier and quicker.

Not used all 100mtr yet but close. I am going to get a 50 mtr reel using 6mm this time. Use it for main hose and swap over for big jobs.
Problem is 100mtr of 8mm full of water is quite a lot to hump in and out all the time. If you have a system that reel stays in van, then its ok

does he clean in france or what ? ;D

next question
6mm id or 8m id?
-
Everyday i use the max 100m of hose. Most roads i have fronts scatered throughout the whole street, im tempted to add more hose to my reel to make it 150meters so i can do even more from the same spot to save reeling in and re setting up losing time.

Better to have, and not need it, than need it, and not have it ;D

Totally agree with this.
When I first started wfp I used 60mtrs and found it was just short for quite a few jobs together on my round, a real PITA. I've had 100m for a while now and is so much better. I don't reel out the whole lot very often, but I often go over the 70m mark.
So, get the 100m ;D

Best of both worlds chop 30 metres off, put connectors on, keep in the van and only connect when you need it that's what I do.
Hardly ever have to use it.
-
I deliberately park 100 meters away from windows that need cleaned, that way I always use all of my hose.
Yip, no flies on me.
-
I sometimes need 200m of hose when doing blocks of flats etc.
They say length doesn't matter but if it stops you doing the job then it does ;D

Good idea

i've always used 6mm id easier to reel in
-
With the Pure Freedom professional hose, 100m goes on very nicely and as long as it's bolted down, it's not overly strenuous to reel in.

;D excellent - there must be a book of sayings applicable to window cleaning

What's the advantage of that? Surely it's easier to have the extra 30m coiled up on the reel where it should be?
-
Use 100 and regularly have it all out
-
at least 20 times a month i need the full 100m.better to have it than coming up short. :)

Like I said I only have to use it once in a blue moon. 70 mtrs plenty for my work occasionally can't park or new jobs need a bit extra length. Why lift 100 mtrs in and out when you can make things easier??
-
i dont lift 100m out.i never take the reel out.i havent done for 2 years now.much easier with a fixed reel in the van. ;)

Why bother lifting it anywhere
Leave it in the van.

100m hose is the way to go,I do a road where I have 14 jobs having a 100 m hose saves me moving van.
If your short of cash, personally I would borrow some money to fund a decent set up,as trying to do it on the cheap May come back and bite you in the arse
In my opinion start with a good set up, less grief, and allows you to concentrate on developing your business and makes you look professional, and not cheap

Hi Daz and Soupy
How do you get on working like that? I tried it for a while but didn't get on with it and found it O.K. when pulling straight out of the rear of the van but if running hose forward to the front of the van I found it dragging under the van bumper or down the sides of the tyres.

It's something we've spent more time and money on that anything else.
