Title: storing ro system
Post by: robert mitchell on November 19, 2014, 04:18:27 pm
I have just bought this ro from ro-man

http://www.ro-man.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=450&page=4&product_id=4453

I want to store my 40/40 without damaging the membrane , does anybody know the best way to do this?

I am under the impression that they shouldn't be allowed to dry out , but if they are left full of water it could get bacteria growth that damages it .

just looking for advice .

the membrane drying out i would guess.
How about an inline tap on the pure hose outlet and mains in ? make sure it has water flowing through it and then turn off the mains and close the waste valve fully. wrap it in cellophane and store in a cool dry place. Maybe wrong thing to do  ??? i wouldn't know for sure but just an idea  ;)
