Hi all,
Went to see a really nice old gentleman today who has a problem. He sat on his beloved gold draylon sofa with a new pair of black jeans that were damp. It has left a black dye stain on the seat cushions and lower back cushions. Any ideas on how best to get rid of the stain? I've already told him it maybe permanent as dye will re-colour the fabric but I'd really like to help him out.
Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Jason.

Buy him a new suite? ;D
I wouldn't have thought that nice old gentlemen were into shrink fit jeans?
Grabbing at straws - try spotting with an ink and dye remover by I think this one's a live and learn.

Thanks Alan,
Just to let you know that he called me early this morning and wanted me to go round and give it my best shot. I'd already justified that I didn't think it was going to come out but he waned me to try!
I'm really into using splitter no.2 at the moment on upholstery so thought I'd try that first. And before my very eyes it came out, took 3 or 4 goes but then was completely gone ;D.
I'm amazed sometimes what splitters will remove without the need for grabbing the spotter kit from the van.
He was over the moon and so was I.
Saved him £2000 for a new suite and the tight old got didn't even give me a drink :o
Never mind eh, job satisfaction and all that!
Kind regards,
Jason.
