Would you pressure wash this roof?
will the roof stand up to it?
The house was built in the 60's - looks like the original roof.
-
Those tiles go a buff colour when cleaned - the sand gives them the colour but it comes off so easily
-
So would this be ok to pressure wash and algaecide only?
-
Firstly check inside, due to age may be close boarded pre felt ?
If boarded monitor inside for any leaks whilst cleaning use controlled washing sensible pressures / flow.
If just tiles fungicidal wash only.
We would price for p wash plus coat (as the colouring has already worn off), with the understanding coating may be next yr depending on the weather

Id be careful, that customer is a right fussy git isn't he?! ;D
-
Yeah, he is Mike1986!
It has felt behind the tiles, but but its the old black type. It's not in great condition.
-
So if the felt is not in great condition would it be ok to pressure wash?
There are no leaks at the moment.
-
Wash it or scrape and Algo Clear it .
"Generally" those concrete tiled roofs are ok . Although they do rot (the tile itself) Get on the roof and do a visual inspection first.
Get yourself a few spare tiles before you start... you will need them! You can just slide the others up and "hook" the new ones on.
If coating I would use a water based acrylic sealer. Should be a pretty straight forward job.
