Title: What gutter camera do you use
Post by: marc on November 14, 2014, 10:11:05 pm
As the title says what do you use for gutter inspections I've looked at the gutter sucker one and was thinking of a gopro with some sort of monitor or iPhone

We use a GoPro camera and the GoPro app on an iPhone.

It works really well.

Here is a link to some before and after pictures taken with the GoPro:

Those pictures are making me feel funny. Having said that I am a tad hungover.

Do you ever use the go pro to do an inspection of the job and then only doing the job if required?

I know someone who does that but to me you're just chucking money away and wasting time.

To buy such a great action camera as a gopro and then stick it on the end of a pole to film a dirty gutter seems like a waste of money and a good camera.
If all you are going to use it for is that then do yourself a favour

Crikey that's cheap! Wifi enabled too - wonder if it's got the same fittings?

Sorry, how does the wifi work on these? Do you need to have connection to a wifi router in the property you are surveying? What i'm asking I guess is how does the signal get from the camera on the end of a pole to your phone?

You will need a smart phone, you download an app and that is your wifi connection to the camera, you can then control and view it remotely.

Youre welcome Fin.
Worth taking techmoans advice and links for buying the sj4000 wifi from his site. ebay is becoming swamped with clones of this model of camera typically the ones advertised at about £50. The genuine ones are about £70.
