Been using cold since i started wfp but really want to go hot now.
With the corwoods water heater do i need to install a flue?
Hows best to mount the boiler?

Bit of a can of worms really.
I use the corwoods heater and it's awesome.
It basically needs to be well ventilated. So your safest option is hang it on the back door and use with the door open.
You can though, like me, have it inside the van but either DIY a vent pointing out to the doors, or just work with the door open.
Another option I'm looking at is fitting a spinny vent (not sure what their called) on top of the van to take any gases away aswell.
The way that richard has done it is your best option.

Dave Willis fitted a proper roof mounted vent to his van.
Another good idea might be to have a Carbon Monoxide alarm in the cab of the van- just for peace of mind. ;)

ive just bought one of these units & im fiiting it tomoz... where do you get the braided hoses from?

i have a flexi hose ,cable tide to the roof of my citroen van pointing out side simple and cheap so no cutting holes in the roof of van

no need for a flue if you fit the heater near one of the back doors and leave it open when the heaters running.then when your finished open both doors and side door(if you have one)to let fumes escape as you reel in/put pole away.
another tip when your finished for the day.turn off pump then open pole tap and let all the water drain out as your reeling in.this takes all the water and pressure out of the heater so you dont have to unscrew the little fiddly drain screw. ;)
I love the corwoods heater.second winter with it now.well worth £180 IMO. ;)

I find fitting the boiler is easy.Every one has a panic attach about the fumes. The true dog is understanding how this will change your setup. AS hoses need to changed, fitting need to change every fitting needs to be double clamped any weakness in your system will fail and make hot a nightmare. Its a understanding of how you have changed your system and the pressure of hot water that is the tricky part. But it is nice when you have sorted it out. Its a bit of a mind set change to water through pole.
