top marks from me!only been using it a few days but love it already!
DRAG AND DROP great for juggling jobs/days around
MOBILE APP debtlists/worksheets on smartphone.much better than my old palm pda!syncing work/debts is effortless.i really like how the customers details fade when you ve clicked done then if they pay you later during your working day you can easily click on it again to click paid.
EMAIL INVOICES all set up now.great, great feature.i used to have to print/scan and then log in to email account just to send one!
CUSTOMIZABLE INVOICES another good feature.upload logo etc and i love how you can add a little note to an invoice which you couldnt do with george!
TEXTING DIRECT FROM CUSTOMERS DETAILS on the mobile app(worksheet).
this is just a few of the things i like about CP at the moment.ill find out more as i get used to it.
rob is very helpful and sorts things out for you swiftly as well!
how are you guys getting on with it?
regards
dazmond

I found it a bit cumbersome. Movement back and forth through dates was slow in that you had to select a 28 day period. It was possible to fiddle with it and select a date, but a pain each time you log on. Also, whereas I can see 4 weeks on the screen on Aworka & juggle jobs, CP only gave me one week, so when you are behind and juggling it is cumbersome to move jobs about. Additionally, I like to compare progress with Aworka & switching to CP would lose all that "at a glance" historical data.
For the time being I will stick with Aworka I think.
If Rob is reading this, thank you for importing my data.

Remember you can click "hide completed jobs" So when you are working through the day, it can keep you going as you watch the screen clear...... If you know what i mean. You can also un check the box to make amendments.
For me its all about the Gocardless integration, emailing and texting.
I LOVE the fact text messages can be scheduled to go out later. So for instance i was doing my sheets at 4pm but texts for gates will go out at 7 pm tonight!
I still only have a small % on CP i cannot wait to get them all on CP and away from George.

I've been having a look at it today. How do I mark a job as completed?
-
Done it. So you need to add it to work list be you can mark it as complete...
-
Thanks guys!
8weekly - thanks for the feedback, was wondering how you were getting on :) I've just tweaked the planner so it remembers your selected date (even if you logout). Did you try deselecting "Summary" from the "Show" dropdown top right? That makes the planner a lot more compact and allows you to fit a lot more on the screen. Also worth bearing in mind that you probably don't need to juggle jobs around as much in CP as you do in your current software. In CP you don't have to keep bunting the due dates around to get the jobs to "show up" on a worksheet. If you add a job to a worksheet it will STAY there until you do it. Also as I explained in the other thread, CP will log the date you ACTUALLY do the work regardless of the due date. Hope that makes sense!
James - to mark a job as done you add it to a worksheet and then click "Done" on either the PC/Mac or the mobile app. Have you signed up for a trial yet? Would you like me to import your data? You're on George as I recall (from another thread)? Feel free to pop your backup over to me at rob@cleanerplanner.com and I'll get it loaded up for you.
-
HI Rob,
I really like CP too.Just a quick question:Would be nice to mark a job as done from the planner,do you think we could get that soon? thanks
Regards
Ben
-
can you transfer all your George data on to it, or do you have to rewrite like 400 custards into it :'(
-
Hi Ben - yep, "mark jobs as done from planner" has been suggested on the CP forum and voted onto my to do list so it's coming soon!

Rob
I think your CP is excellent, have you ever thought of doing a training day for window cleaners ? Be a great investment for us to have everything done right & correctly setup or should I say get the most out of cleaner planner ! I think good few would pay for a day with grub etc as a business expense ?? Certainly will pay dividends to have everything organised
-
Frank - Thanks mate, I'm sorting Paul's George import this morning and will run through things with him over phone/email but a demo would be great I think!
Shane - Yes! I'd be well up for doing a training day and it's certainly something I've thought about :) In my mind it's more a case of whether people would be interested! If enough people signed up to the idea I'd definitely do it, maybe even regularly if the demand was there, and I'd only look to cover costs really (as it would be great promo for CP :)) But where would I run it?! I've got people onboard everywhere from Aberdeen to St Austell! I'd be keen to discuss this idea further with you as a starting point. Please can you drop me a quick email rob@cleanerplanner.com

Will do Rob
But just to put it out there,I would think around the £100 mark would be a good investment (when you think average sole trader turns over £25-£30k per annum) & this would be a business expense ;)
As for locations I'm up in Manchester but I'd be willing to travel an hour r so & have a productive day off the glass, meet other guys see how they do things but most important to get organised & have things looking smart for the customers!
But I'm sure different locations & proper setups would be up for this ???

Hi Rob
I am interested in your software, but i think the best way more of us can get on board is for you to make a long Youtube video and demonstrate everything that need to be learned.
What do you think ? :)
-
Dazmondeo has been asked to play the starring role but he insists on it being filmed in a Mancunian hotel with his missus and a 41 litre super charged car with leather seats and a super dooper stiffie pole in the background with Alex Gardiner taking snaps.

Video tutorials of all the basics would help me make the leap , Probs going to make the move in the 2 weeks when i have more time on my hands to get to grips with things , the move to marking jobs done etc and payment within the planner would be so much easier for me .
Just want to get to the end of the month in order to end my accounts in Aworka & switch to CP .
-
im getting bored now of waiting for aworka to bring these updates.
to be honest aworka is spot on for me as i can see it on my phone and tick jobs off during day,i can drag jobs about on
full version but the two biggest issues is im finding is i'd like a week view on mobile app rather than just today and tomorrow and secondly i want to be able to input new customers while im out and about rather than right theyre details down then log into full version when i get home!
does cleaner planner have these sort of tricks and how much is it a month or can you buy it outright?
-
Hi Hasti and Mike - video tutorials are definitely on the way! Currently compiling a list of all the features and processes I know (from experience talking to people) need explanation, and even if you've done something before, it's handy to have a video to refer to for a bit of a refresher (particularly on the more advanced features). Hoping to have the first batch of videos up this side of chrimbo :) In the meantime you also have the CP forum where you can ask questions (for myself and other windies) and post ideas for new features: https://app.cleanerplanner.com/forum
Hi Cheshire - on CP you can easily line up a whole week's worth of work on the mobile app by creating a worksheet for each day (and you can use the "Split by day" function to do this with just a couple of clicks). You can then work 100% offline during the week if you prefer, and then upload at the end of the week and do your books on the PC/Mac over the weekend, that's how quite a few people work.
You can note down new job/quote details into the worksheet notes area on the app and action when you get back. You can't add jobs directly to the mobile app *yet* but this is something that has been requested a good few times now and I know it's something that would set CP apart from the rest so I may just bump it up the list and get it done! The way I see it working is having an "Add/insert job" button in between each job on the worksheet on the app. If you click the button you can add/insert a job at that position on the worksheet. That way it will be in the correct round order when you upload and submit the worksheet later. If you'd like to pop me an email now I'll let you know when this is in place so you can give CP a try: rob@cleanerplanner.com

Well done rob
Thanks for that feed back :)

Hi Rob could please outline the cost of use for you software as this is a stumbling block for many of use I need to know what I am committing to.I know its not big money but a price would not go amiss.

Thanks Davey boy.

Hi Rob.
If I transferred my George data would the cleaning frequency details be included. (i.e Particular week and day)?
And what about work notes?
Also did I read you can set up automatic text messages for work that needs to be booked in? And automatic text when payments are late? Is this included in the £15.00 PM?
-
Thanks Matt and Dave.
Slap bash - any questions on the different packages just give me a shout :)
James - yep, clean frequency and notes would be imported. I'm not 100% sure off the top of me head if George exports specific week/day settings but this is certainly something Cleaner Planner supports and we could work out a way to reinstate your day/week settings. CP has a bulk edit tool where you can easily update scheduling settings for hundreds of jobs at a time.
You can schedule reminder texts (for customers e.g. "cleaning your windows tomorrow") for jobs you have on a worksheet e.g. to send out at 7pm. You can text customers when payments are late directly from the debt list and I'm planning to add a "mail merge" facility here so you can text multiple customers in one go and the system will automatically insert their balance, payment ref etc. SMS integration is a Pro package feature along with GoCardless, Dropbox backup etc. The Pro is all about giving you the extra tools you need to streamline and expand your business.
