ive a pure freedom 350 ltre tank, am i best getting one offered by purefreedom or is it cheaper from plumbers merchant, or the likes of wilkinsons etc, trying to save as much as i can after getting van taxed and insured.
its so annoying the DVLA wont let tax be carried onto new vehicle owners now, they will be making some good proffit. :'(
the chap had just got van taxed beginning on this month,

He will claim his tax back anyways so it doesn't mater, get the heaviest tonnage ratchet straps you can and criss cross them, you wanto be bottling through the chassis as the securing eyes aren't for heavy loads, you can also use a spreader plates at the bottom as well to be exta safe , in the event of a crash you will be glad you went with a proper safety set up , done this way your just as safe as a cage etc

You will get the remaining tax that is left on the van you have just sold sent back to you in the form of a cheque.
Road tax is now non transferable.

i wont get it back, ive just had to buy 6 months, it was already taxed. but you cant add it on now to new owner.

Unfortunately I can't help with the tap.
I have just bought a new van myself this month and had to tax it as they don't come with tax.
The van I sold had 3 months tax left on it and not realising I sold it as taxed till January to the new owner.
This week I got a £60 cheque refund for the tax I sold,so you will get it back.
So even though you had to pay out today for new tax,you will get the money back of the old one.
Over the year you will still pay the same and the dvla won't profit .
Good luck with the tap and van ,I've now got to kit mine out.

hes got good advice to get started.
going to get ratchet straps today locally. this will do till i get a wee bit more cash to see if anywhere local can advise how to fully secure it to underside of van.
to tell the truth i wish i just kept with the backpack atm, ill relax when i get set-up, hopefully, i just think and worry too much,
i should be all happy and excited, maybe its just the weather and dark nights, never seem to have time latelly
let me know how you get started
