First week properly doing windows and struggling along with trolley setup
I am D.I only (no where to use a RO)
What i want to know is can a van mount be set up so that i can fill the water tank on my van with plain tap water then leave d.i vessel on van and pump the d.i water straight to pole? i was thinking di vessel to a strainer/filter then to pump to pole.
Reason for doing it this way is 2 fold, firstly i do car valeting so want to use un purified water as well soi will use twin taps on the tank one to di. one to feed my p/w for valeting.
also i live in a flat on a meter so i use my mothers tap to fill up so i could fill up at local mates easy if i can use straight tap water to van then do the d.i on van

As I said before its easy,
Tank-pump-di-reel-pole
Jobs a good un.

Ok ta, ill have to test it out, if it works i will feel an amazing sense of wellbeing

Well that's just how I've been operating for over 10 years so I'd say...... Yes!! ;D
It's actually the best way to go about a DI only set up- to have the vessel/s on the van, fill tank with tap water & purify "on-demand". Fill tank from anywhere & have the ability to run both pure & non-pure. ;)

This is the setup I use. Customers tap water strait into a 400 litre tank. Then pump the water through twin DI vessels then to the hose wheel. Oh yeah and the average tap tds around my way is 250ppm :o I don't care it still works out much cheaper than renting a unit to make pure water, like you I live in a flat.
I buy 2 sacks of resin at a time, lasts me about 3 months. So for £140 I get a massive return on my money.

I used to live I a flat and had an do system going out the bathroom window to d I outside lol I like to think I could make pure anywhere

So do you gravity feed the D.i from tank, ive found this only works when tank it at least half full or if not how do you pump to D.I?
do you simply put your pump before d.i them di. straight to pole?
or is 2 pumps required?

Pump before di.

Tank>pump>DI>hose reel>pole

Oh right, just assumed pump wouldnt have enough pressure to force water thru d.i
thanks, i will try this tomrrow

You can pump water through a DI vessel with your mouth ;D resin suspended in water presents very little resistance to the flow of water through the vessel.
