hello out there, i've just employed a supervisor but theres something about her i just dont trust and i cant put my finger on it when she came for the job i explained to her it would be a months trial but i've yet to put anything in writing so i was wondering where i stand if i told her at the end of the months trial she wasn't suitable? would i have to explain why and so on?

I believe if she had been with you less than a week you can let her go without a reason, but best to get some legal advise i would have thought.
Regards Rob.

You have 12 months to let some go without reason. If they are with you for more than a month then they are entitled to a weeks pay in lieu of notice. All you do is tell them your not suitable. Don't expand it could end in tears.

If you have a gut instinct get rid now. I made the mistake of doing not that and now I need a solicitor at £165 hr.

Employees come and go, so don't feel guilty. I used to but when you over hear what they say about you and your business, its like water off a duck back.
