was wondering if i could use my gardiner modular pole with a gutter vac

Yes you can, although Alex will not cover you if you use them and they break, as they are sold as window cleaning poles.

We've got both the modular and gardiner gutter vac poles and tbh after using the vacuum poles if you are doin gutters that are heavly soiled the modular ones wouldn't be wide enough and would block all the time.

Will any large gutter vac connect to the poles on sale from various suppliers.
Also what are you powering them from generator or customers house.

Yes they will, we bought the vacuum from Kevin Martin (tilinglogistics) which is great and the pole and hose from grippa tank.

Grippavac 36 costs around £1600 where as a 3000w with alloy poles costs around £500.
I quite clearly don't work hard enough in this department to spend that amount on gutter cleaning equipment.
If you bought the vac and alloy poles separate would the 1.5m vac hose be long enough.

Alan 1.5m hose wouldn't be long enough from what I've found and we have only ever used the customers electric supply, our customers don't mind so much cus there all commercial not sure how house holders would look at it.
I'm no expert on vacuums but I'm pretty sure the one you linked would be no where near powerful. Give kev Martin a shout, he's got a lot more knowledge on vacs ect.

Not used one but have seen it on here about the Nilfisk 30-t think machine mart do them .Argos used to do them not sure if they still do

Hi guys
There are a lot of vacs out there and combinations to use, as with anything in this industry.
But Gpippa vac is the choice I would make as Oliver is using Alex's modular poles with a few little tweaks, the poles work great, blockage is a minimum despite the slightly smaller id mm, as carbon is very smooth internally. (Also I think it's space vac or something similar had a clever idea in having there modular poles inter lock so no twist) maybe another choice
Alex also sent me some proto types for lightweight attachments for me to dem which move the goal posts again because you have no weight at the top of the pole, and that's your biggest problem to deal with in gutter cleaning, plus no clamping they just slide inside with no twisting
The vac I suggegested to Oliver should be the smaller twin neumatic on residential as it quickly turns into a bucket for easy emptying,it has cyclonic entry which is a MUST in gutter vacs and the power of suction is exactly the same as the larger model
Finally don't be fooled by the size of motors on vacs, the DESIGN of a vac is the most important thing to consider, as a small motor designed well, can easily out perform a high powered badly designed vac, with better airflow, and slightly more important in gutter clearance better water lift.

True. I want a compact vac with more suction and less bulk with a side inlet. Quite happy with 38mm pipe just want more suction in a smaller package. My Superlight sections have never blocked, even 38mm pipe rarely blocks. The nozzle does and the inlet does.
