Title: palm won't hot sync to windows 8.1

Hi all
as above got a new pc and my palm zire won't sync, I have run the compatibility trouble shooter which has, " so it says" altered the settings for George and pocket George to vista service pack 2 but still no joy, any suggestions gratefully received

I didn't look properly. You have a Zire and they are very basic. We have 2 of them.

I fear that this is also going to be the end of the pda era for us shortly as well. I have a Tungsten E2 which has blue tooth but no infra red. Infra red sync was the way many were getting around the hot sync issue.

I still think that George is a good system and for a once of £50 we can't complain. We had it since July 2006 and it has served us well.

Maybe a look on ebay for a T5 with infra red plus a dongle will keep you going for a little while longer.

Not sure I want to spend £25 per month on Cleaner Planner for the 3 of us TBH.

We have probably had it too good with the price of George.
