Title: Is my cleaning technique ok for first floor windows?

These are photos of me cleaning the front window, is my technique right and is the angle of the brush right?

This is of the side window above a garage and difficult to reach, think my technique is really dodgy?

How bent should the brushes be when put onto the window?

Looks ok

Extend your second section though and then you can stand further away from the window

The first window should be pretty easy head on, the second window i'd say you're at the right angle

Just extend that pole a bit more mate so your hands are nearer your waist (it'll make life easier for you

Brush angle is personal preference, i use a sill brish so i'm half way between the two you've posted

Edit - looks like you haven't fully extended any of your sections...its what they're there for mate. Further you are from the window, the less you have to look up!

you should be able to clean the window in the first photo square on if you extend your pole a bit more and stand further back.you can rest the pole on the roof edge for the rinse if your arms are aching! ;)

are they a new type of work shoes,

this must be your home surelly.

as said,  stand back and lenghen your pole out,  keep comfortable,  stress on the shoulders,  get a swivel neck, then the brush changes direction on the glass,

look on thr Gardiners web site ,  look for Videos,       or look in the brush section and it will show you.

are you using pure water.

we all have to begin new techniques to make the work easier,    it will come with confidence.  learn how to clean the ledges also,      this is where traditional cleaners score points,     they just wipe sills down with a clith.

Gotta say a big fair play - looks like you're really giving this a good shot Buzzing. I hope it works out for you.

Just try loads of different ways. There's no need to worry about doing the job the right way or the wrong way. There's no 100% right way to do a job or a window.

The best way sometimes only becomes apparent after doing the same job a few times.

I wouldn't be so concerned about it. If you do the job in a reasonable time that's all that matters. The rest comes with experience.

There were some stains on windows _bird poo or whatever just can't get it off with brush.  Should I put a scraper on a pole?   Is it worth getting up on ladder on first clean?       Do people waste pure water on gutters above first floor windows?   Can i use my other brush with tap water then come back and do windows underneath with wfp?

If you see any stubborn marks then pre soak them, do another window and then come back to it. That should do it.

Don't put a scraper on a pole.

Even on baked on egg I don't use a scraper. Just spray a diluted degreaser onto the brush head, scrub the window and leave for a minute, then clean as normal with a good rinse.

See if you can get a wider brush, I can't be done with those small brushes.
In the photo you put up it looks to me like you could turn the brush head slightly to account for the angle your working at.
Nice pole ;D
