We are in the final stages of bristle material testing. Will probably be 2015 before there is anything new on the shelves though as new tooling will have to be made to cope with the bristle patterns/angles and stock shapes/sizes.

And i think thats a great reason to take them to the Dorset show to exhibit them and spread the word ;) ;) ;) ;)

Worth a try :D

Ok, thanks for the update! :D

is there likely to be a hybrid version of the sill brush ?
and /or a lighter version?

I love the extreme range but after about 6 brushes they all have the same prob, the bristles on the ends start going on an angle which then makes it hard work getting into the corners. I hope this is up for improvement Alex?

2015? Thank goodness I don't have to spend on new brushes 'till next year!

A stiffer stock on the corners? This should be no problem to do.... yes I am an expert on this, I've seen it on the kids channel ;)

Try a brush bumper.

Try a brush bumper.
Do they fit an extreme? Although
I can't see how this will alleviate the problem. The bristles do not start pointing inwards due to the stock on ours as they are not worn down enough.

Yes they fit and they seem to stop my corners going:-)

We've had a few of these now (2nd gen extreme's) we know it's not a worn stock issue.

Not bothered about the lightness . Really needs a better type of bristle that last more than a month or two . Better scrubbing as well . The gardiner brushes are poor compared to Tecbuk .
Hopefully the gardiner brushes will overtake the Tecbuk on quality . But the tecbuks are now a good weight and are great . The Tecbuk could do with better jets though

How good a fit are the brush bumpers on an Xtreme brush

Bristle strength and longevity is often about the design of the brush rather than the bristle material themselves.
The bristle material in the Xtreme range is exactly the same as in our Super-Lite range (and indeed the same as most other brands). However the robustness and longevity of the Xtreme range is far less than the Super-lites mainly due to stock design and density of bristle placement. A Super-Lite brush can often get 12 - 24 months life due to its design - whereas an Xtreme brush used in a tough environment can start to deform after just 2 months. Many Xtreme users get longer than this, but even so the top end of life on an Xtreme brush is about 5 months. The upside is that they are only 110g which is less than half the weight of any other brush on the market.
We are working on a new Xtreme brush which will be more robust - it will probably weigh in at about 10g heavier but should last longer - it is a fine balance with weight and longevity. We are also nearly finished with out testing on the mid-weight brush - halfway between the Xtreme and the Super-Lite that still has 7 rows of bristles and the same footprint as the Super-Lite, but far less weight.
Hopefully the new ranges will have brushes to suit all tastes and working preferences.

And a flocked sill brush Alex!!!!!!!
