Just topped up my can of G101 in the van from my big barrel and was surprised to read a) it's caustic and B) alkaline with the main ingredient being Sodium Hydroxide.
Works well but I seem to remember the old CIU advice "non caustic" when using chemicals on conservatory roofs. .... Why?

caustic can harm you turn plastic yellow and ruin polycarb roofs and strip paint too

Because products containing sodium hydroxide (highly corrosive) will cause detrimental damage to conny roofs if not used with extreme caution.
