Bit of an odd request I suppose. I'm looking for a spray lance or sprayer that rather than the traditional trigger which uses the natural grip, uses the thumb to depress the trigger. I've been suffering from tennis elbow which with strapping and exercise is improving but prolonged use like pre-spraying on large jobs becomes a real pain, any ideas?

I use the sherpa battery powered one £100 , the lance has a lock on the sprayer so once pressed it keeps spraying until you unlock it . A charge seems to last about 4 days depending on how much you do .

Is it this one Neil?

I use one similar to this one but turn the spray head the other way up and use my thumb on the trigger.
Nothing wrong with my arms, I just like it that way. ;D

Simon, can you not use your other hand?

I can, but being right handed it feels awkward and I always find myself switching back. Wanding is ok because the pressure is not constant. Never considered a locking trigger, that would do. I'll look at the Sherpa.
I've been using the Restormate upgrade on the IK sprayer so that can't be turned upside down but i've been turning the workshop inside out looking for an old one.
I had one similar to the one in Dennis' pic but the brass got too hot. Solo sprayers might have something.
Thanks for the ideas.

neil, whats your overall thoughts on the Sherpa mate....

I used the Sherpa, just had a few issues with the hose swelling and not being able to replace it. Purchased this 6 months ago, never looked back, depending on usage we get between 5-7 days of use.

The handle needs securing top and bottom with self tappers as they pull apart
the hose needs replacing eventually as Darran said ,and the spray lance isn't as sturdy as it could be .
But its the best labour saving device ive bought in years it pumps solution at a good pressure ,and has a variable pressure numpty .and holds its charge for the week

I bought one used it once! In my opinion it doesn't spray enough chemical, unlike my old wow one which was the dogs ! When it decided to effin work

Karl, I have these straps which go around the arm http://www.amazon.co.uk/MEDICAL-medical-quality-silicon-vibration/dp/B001M0A2LE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1416432029&sr=8-4&keywords=tennis+elbow+supports (http://www.amazon.co.uk/MEDICAL-medical-quality-silicon-vibration/dp/B001M0A2LE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1416432029&sr=8-4&keywords=tennis+elbow+supports) it works reasonably well, but if anyone has an alternative let me know.
