i have just just installed the pump in my ibc storage tank the hose connected to the pump comes out the top of the tank
the only problem is when i switch the pump off from the mains the unit turns off properly but water is still coming out the delivery hose i woke up this morning with 1000l of pure all over the street ??? :-[
any one know what the problem is thanks

Is the end of the transfer hose higher than the height of the water in the IBC?

As Pole King suggests, it's syphonic action. After you turn the pump off, make sure the end of the hose is fixed above the level of the water in the tank. To be really safe, lift the whole of the pipe above the water level and allow the water in the pipe to drain back into the tank.
You could also fit a stop valve at the delivery end.

I have a trigger like a fuel pump from Pure Freedom.

Do you have to stand there holding the trigger while you fill up?

No, it has a clip to stay flowing.

Same here. Twice I've accidentally left the pump turned on after closing the trigger and burnt the pump out :/ I always turn off at the mains first now. Lesson learned. Twice :/
