Hi guys
Just thought I would let you know what happened today whilst pricing a job .
I got a call a week ago from a nursing home looking for a window cleaner
And as luck would have I already knew the matron from years back
When I worked as a funeral director so all good and on first name terms .
When I got there she told me that her deputy on her day off had all ready found someone who had knocked on the door and asked if they needed a cleaner !
She said they had already been done and if I could beat their quote I would get the gig as she felt guilty for informing me .
It was a 25 bed care home with 3stories 4 fire escapes and a large conservatory on the back and a small bungalow attached for the management to live in and it would have
taken me a good 3 hours on my own .
When I looked round the frames and sills were green! Runs and spotting
On the glass ,doors not even touched .
I quoted her £175 for the first clean and £125 every 4 weeks there after.
She told me that was over priced and too expensive as the other guys were charging £30.00! But they were using her water ????
Come on guys is it just me this happening too or are you experiencing it to ?
I've got a really nice van all sign written. Good uniform ,established ltd company good commercial and domestic work. Been going 7years
It's total rubbish poop firms setting up turning out crap work for no money .
I told her next time they come ask for a copy of their public liability insurance .
As I bet they haven't even got that .
Really starting to get fed up with these chancers!!!

Thats commercial for you! all that nursing home is bothered about is the money saving not actually how clean they are!

Hi small pouch! Think I've seen your van around ;D
Was it sign written? Thought that was graffiti! You know what the kids are like in Bournemouth. I heard you were focussing on care homes cause you're after a bit of 'spare'. ;D

;D ;D

Seriously though, my small pouched friend, give it a few months and they will probably not bother cleaning any more. The problem you then have is the custy has £30 in her head. It's difficult to go from that to £125 even with a reasonable argument. Forget it and move on. Plenty more care homes in Bournemouth (land of the ramps) ;D

I'm gonna get my self a track suit and ladder and see if I can increase my turn over .

Your turnover will increase but your profit margin will go down.
On the plus side... You can take loads of crap to the tip in a Mondeo estate.
The downside is you is a bit fat for tracky bottoms innit! :D
