Title: George vs Aworka vs CleanerPlanner
Post by: bassjamm on October 13, 2014, 07:06:12 pm
Hi all,

Apologies if this is a bit of a rehashed topic. I have done some digging around on the site.

I currently use George. It's on an old Laptop and it's the only thing I use the laptop for. Everything else I have is Mac based.

So I'm thinking of upgrading my administration system for my Window Cleaning business.

Can anyone comment on the transition they've experienced when switching from George to either Aworka, or more interestingly, CleanerPlanner?

I've some experience with Aworka, but I didn't get on with it too well really. CleanerPlanner looks better from the outside looking in, and I like that they've got the iOS apps.

So...does anyone mind offering some advice and thoughts please?

Thank you for your time.

Jamie

Contact rob at cp he will do all that for you.

We went from WCP to cp and it was a breeze even in the early days while rob was still developing it

yep last couple of months i switch from george to cleaner planner, has i had problems with pocket george working on the pda,or should i say not working

so i was left with no choice but to find somthing else

rob @cleaner planner was more than helpful and had me up and running within a 1hour,and then give me a full talk though on the phone on how it all worked

so for me give it a go,and run the two side by side until your happy

Swapped from George to CP

I did try round partner and aworka but not a patch on CP.

The integration is what pays for itself.

Once i have all my work on CP I think i will save hours a week.

I caused a few issues with deleting some important information. To say Rob has gone the extra mile is an understatement.

Get the free trial from CP and just do it.

I'm currently using Aworka, but it seems to be lagging behind cleaner planner in development, gonna trial the cleaner planner before deciding to whether to jump ship.

im using aworker and find it very simple even more so for the iphone app as it doesnt have anything barely on it, they just keep saying coming soon for the little add ons and to be honest im starting to get bored of waiting for these updates, i dont think theyre ever going to happen?

I too like using Aworka. Texting would be good though. I seem to recall texting with CP was about £25 a month though? For me as a sole trader that isn't worth it.

I went from Window Cleaner Pro which i was VERY reluctant about, i loved that program...it just worked for me. I just wished it was on my phone.

I tried the trial on Cleaner Planner and it was a nice easy transition, i went for it and im so glad i have now! Its very simple to use, emailing invoices at a click of a button is superb. You can text thru program thru a online text client although i havent yet, on the app you can click their number and call/text direct.

It really is good and you should give it a go. It really is the next step on from WCP.

Since going the automated text route it's stopped the "not today please" and the ability to schedule the texts is worth its weight in gold. I might get two a month asking to leave it. But not now.

Well I am going to give cleaner pro a go. Chatted to the chap at Aworker but was not convinced by his lack of information on his program. He said I needed to e mail all my quires and he will answer. All I wanted was a run through what his program would do.

Hi slap bash - great, more than happy to run through Cleaner Planner with you personally over the phone if you like (tend to find people get up and running quicker that way and saves us both loads of typing ;)) If you go ahead and sign up for the free trial my number will be at the top of the screen or ping me a quick email (rob@cleanerplanner.com) and we can set up a call.

George you can buy as a one off payment and you own it outright or you can have he mobile version that you subscribe to SO why can't cleaner planner do the same as sell a version that you own outright that doesn't need subscription every month ?? If it's that good a program why wont he sell a one off program just like George that people simply use who don't require all the fancy updates and modifications??

Because the world is a changing place,

Cleaner planner is forever evolving and adapting to its customers needs.

Using George is like competing in today's F1 race with a 1980's brabham

But everyone's needs are different, so I'm sure there are markets for all the various software  available

Window cleaner pro did that and look what happened to them.. I don't think it has anything to do with how good a program it is to whether or not you can buy it outright.
I actually prefer a monthly subscription because i know that way the developer is going to keep things moving forward and be adding updates when needed exactly what Rob @ cleaner planner is doing, at the end of the day what is  the point of someone trying to move things forward and add updates if he has already got your money..and for the people who don't like fancy updates and modifications then they can use george or whatever
