I've tried numerous times from my laptop but they never work, so tried with the iPad and it worked, but only as a link.

Then once youve posted on here you can copy hte attahment link and paste that in between two image tags and it'll show as an image and not an attachment.

The easiest way is to download a browser called  PUFFIN FROM THE APP STORE. IT WORKS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY AS A DESKTOP PC would when uploading pics to CIU.
