Just picked up the brand new ninja squeegee and applicator from a local window cleaning shop, the old ninja stuff was rubbish, this stuff looks very good, new smart clips actually work very well, and have a different mechanism than the predecessor. Worth a try, they look great, feel very well made and comfortable.

Any links to the new stuff? All I can find is the old.
-
Window clean center, ring them up, they only have the new 14 inch channel at the moment, that what I use most anyway, so got that with the new 30 degree handle, it's a lovely squeegee!

Unger give a life time 100% guarantee of satisfaction so I'll be taking back the old crud ninja stuff to get it replaced.

The squeegee is ok to use but arkward putting back in BOAB, the clips to change the rubber are naff and the clip to change the channel is badly thought out and I cut my thumb on it the first time I used it.

Any links at all? I need some new trad gear.

Yes so do I. If the ninja no good what is

Unger Ergo Tec seem well made and thought out.
I used the Ninja stuff for a while when I bought it but soon went back to using the Ergo Tec stuff. Sqeegie'ing a window is a pretty simple operation and doesn't require aircraft grade aluminium and fancy clips that come at a higher price but like a mug, I bought into it.
Try Window Cleaning Warehouse, Cleaning Spot or Scrim City or just do an online search.

I agree.
I just use Ergo Tec as it works well

Ring the window clean center in ipswich for info on the new stuff, he's got the new 14inch channels in and new handles, Google window clean center ipswich for number and then make sure to speak to them to insure you get the new stuff! I was the first to buy according to shop owner. He hasn't put them on website yet as still waiting for the longer length channels. He will ship you new 14inch though if that's what your after, as that's what unger have sent him. The larger channels are waiting to be shipped from unger. New smart clips are loads better, squeegee feels superb. Don't risk buying online without speaking to shop owners, as a lot of window cleaning suppliers are selling the old ninja stuff as 'new'

I found that all singing all dancing Ninja squeegy great, for using on my shower doors after a shower. For anything else, crap.

So how does it do the job better than other stuff at half, or less, the price?
With my years old squeegee I can change the rubber, the blade, and turn it at an angle and it all works fine.
Why should I then go and spend upwards of £30 quid for a squeegee and the BOAB that goes with it?
Maybe it's because.... a fool and his money... etc.

Unger Ergo tec is a great stuff to use it's cheap and lasts very well.
Never used the ninja don't like the idea of the clips reminds me of the old brass blades that are a pain to change rubber on.
If you are feeling flush/flash unger have just realeased a full carbon squeegee, not sure why you would want one or how well it would last but a nice idea for the millionaire window cleaner.

Cost wise there not expensive, quick to change channels, and quick to change rubber, feels nice and comfortable, and with winter coming it's nice to have a softer padded handle, I used etorre stainless steel blades for years, and in the winter they get freezing cold, I don't wear gloves, so the ninja will help keep hands from getting really cold.

Check unger website UK for new ninja equipment, there's a whole host of new things. At present very few window cleaning shops stock much, so if you want anything ring the 'window clean center' ipswich for new squeegee and applicators, he's now got them in stock, can't post link as Im on my iPhone at the mo! But Google 'new unger ninja' and the unger website will reveal all

What's the normal degree of say a Ettore brass squeegee compared to the 40 degree ninja? Does the 40 make a real difference? Cheers

I went for the 30 degree as that is the standard angle of ettore and unger handles, it feels very nice, been using new ninja stuff for about two weeks and it's really nice to use, easy to change rubber and channels. I found the 30 degree handle easier to work with.

Cheers for the input I might give it a go then .
