Title: Smart phones !!!!! no luck with them
Post by: Ian101 on October 09, 2014, 11:08:07 pm: Treated myself to a galaxy s4 last December .... thought handy for emails / facebook etc ... had to buy a new battery last month as old one went "fat" and stopped working .... today broke screen :( .... £170 for new screen !! no insurance on it as said no to them when I bought "im very careful with my stuff" ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll

back to my nokia 6300 for now

Better spec smartphones were and are available but the 4S is good enough, runs IOS 8 and does actually seem to last. Still a large number of 3gs in use and they still have some £ value - none of my other phones have lasted this long.

the phone i had before that was a HTC desire and my mums still using it and its 3 years old!! :)

Fitting is about £20-£40

I have the iPhone 6 plus and tbh I don't know how I have done without it lol.

Awesome phone! Running full cleaner planer is also great!

BEWARE OF FAKES ON EBAY AND AMAZON , Got mine a few months back of Carphone warehouse for £17.00 normally more expensive .

i am thinking of going android next as im getting bored with ios its same old and with reports of the 6 plus bending in peoples pockets doesnt sound good!
i believe the ip6 has technology thats years old in some android phones too,think apple arent leaders anymore and keep looking at the galaxy range.

+1 Had mine since may last year, with out a doubt the best phone I have ever owned, my upgrade is due in about
4 months, I will probably get the HTC M8.

Post by: hasti on October 10, 2014, 09:42:35 pm: just bought my i phone 6 two weeks ago, and have had text freeze on me all the time, taken it to Apply shop 3 times so far and every time, they say do this and do that and it will be o.k. still no joy :-\
Going back there tomorrow again, see if i can change it.

A bit disappointing with this new i phone really. :-\
