Who does inside windows on houses? Should they be avoided? And has anyone used the Brodex Misty on a Belt?
-
See if you can find a window cleaner to do them for you. ;)
-
I have noticed a few cleaning companies starting to offer inside window cleaning only !
-
I do when my customers ask. Generally i get them to clear the window ledges of picture frames etc. Its easy money so why not?
With regards to cleaning, squeegee them. If you dont know how then practice at home. Its by far the best way to clean the insides of houses and will save you a fortune on unecessary internal window cleaning kits. Small squeegee, applicator and a microfibre. Job done.

I do them on request. I clean them the same way I do the outsides.

Funny
this is a product of the WFP generation, some window cleaners cant squeegee a window
I remember a guy on here ages ago saying he poled the insides with the water turned off :)
-
Surely everyone who is a windowcleaner has and can use a squeegee??
If not then lmao..
-
get window cleaner to do them
-
I don't do them if I can get away with it,piddling about watching
where tread, net curtains blinds and around this time a year the
heating goes on to Barbados temps ::)roll ;D
I prefer outside work and I do a 2-3 con or fascia cleans
a week normally..so I haven't got time
And yes I can use a blade ;D

I used to be trad years ago so the squeegee not problem and the karcher is useful on some. I know its a hassle and just wondered what people charged in relation the the price. I was thinking double the outside price as a rule cus its a lot slower, but has no one used the Misty or similar?
-
Just use spray bottle with pure and and some fairy then blade off , I charge double for doing insides but typically never get asked apart from a doctors surgery I do on a regular basis .

Hows that going to get insect marks off?
Mop and squeegee for me.

Best product for removing insect marks are magic eraser pads, to deep clean any glass surface just use them damp with tap water and scrub until all soils have been loosened.

i charge double the outside if it isnt very often or is awkward
I normally always arrange so theyve cleared access
I have quite a few that i do everytime or every 2-3 months
If the access and job is easy i charge the same inside as out for the very regular ones , or maybe just a few quid more. If you can do them everytime or close to it , i find they're great jobs. My missus works with me so 9/10 i just send her inside while i crack on outside.
I have one tomorrow that i charged £10 outside or £30 for in and out and i do the lot everytime , takes less than half hr for two of us.

Water sprayer and microfibre cloth does the trick

Loads quicker with a mop and squeegee though ;)
-
mop and squeege same price as outside,
unless they are smokers & smoke indoors in which case its double.

Had a house yesterday that hadn't been cleaned in 20 years - I know as I was the last person to do so !
Old place that had been underwater several times with crittle windows and secondary double glazing. I gave up with the double glazing after about a minute and ended up taking it outside, applying virosol and then cleaning WFP. Job took 7 and a half hours - hourly rate though so well worth doing.
