Title: Best Stripper (Slate Floor)
Post by: Ian Harman on October 01, 2014, 12:40:39 pm
Had no issues up to know but have a slate floor sealed with Ilthofin, been over it twice with stiff brush and a wax and residue remover but the original finish seems to be apparent still. Never had to use anything else to now but suggestions as to something with more grunt would be appreciated. Any clear favourites?

Roger

If you think Aqua Mix Sealing & Coating Remover is good wait until you try Miracle Mira Strip

The picture above is a picture of sand stone stripped and cleaned with a Klindex Rocky Rotary fitted with a soft to medium brush.  The floor had 2 coats of Lithofin Slate Seal and a coat of varnish and the Miracle Mira Strip did that patch in under 10 minutes ;D

Kev, is this stuff better than the Aqua mix seal remover for removing topical sealants.

I've used Aqua mix sc remover a lot of time and always found it to be superb however on Monday I had a slate floor to strip wich had ilifion seal on it this time I used Mira strip and it was miles quicker and better than scr IMO it stronger smelling but goes further, quicker, and is an all round better stripper.

Paul

It smells more but it is quicker acting!  Also Miracle Epoxy Grout Film Remover is amazing!  I will get Abi or Tony to post some pictures of a job we just did removing 460M2 of sealant applied with a roller that was a 1/4" thick in places we did it all with Miracle Epoxy Grout Film Remover.  Aqua Mix S&CR is no longer available.
