Hi, have a prochems blazer , 5500 hours on it. Just wondering if anyone has a rough idea how much a new engine for the blazers would cost ?
-
What engine is in it ?
Geoff
-
It's a Briggs and Stratton 18 hp
-
A rough guess of two grand.
-
Paid about £1800 for a 21hp b & s engine from Hm about 5 years ago.
-
Thanks all, 2 grand seems like the number
-
Just got a quote off HM for my 318 engine 18hp and it was £1134 + VAT
-
speak to chris Thomas at Alltec
-
Thanks, dont need one just yet.But the hours on 5550,i will in time.
-
You shouldn't have to pay more than £1400 inclusive for an 18hp Briggs
-
Great, billy mentioned alltec as a good source for a engine, anyone else?
-
Check out 'Universal Engine Power' - (www.uni-power.co.uk) . They are always good for a competitive deal
-
try GP Cleaners in Gloucester as well
-
Just paid £1400 for 23hp kohler engine imported from USA.
So I'd say Briggs and Stratton 18hp probably in this country would be no more.

Mark, did you have to pay duty on the engine?
