Musn't grumble ;D
-
Moving away from council estates then Matt? ;)
-
Mornings work? ;D
-
wow
i clean some what i think are "big" round here in greater manchester in Alderley Edge and the most one of mine pay monthly is £60 :) had one at £75 once and to be fair none of them take longer than 90 mins max
so how big that is at £800 is amazing! Is that inside and out too , how long is it taking you?
Also well done ! you must be blessed to live near some stonkers !
-
Biggest one we do was £2400 for the first clean in & out, now it is £1000 per month. Private house too!

Oooh Matt Licker won't like that!
-
Fair play is what Id say to that, Im not the jealous sort, never have been actually.
Added later, it would appear you have some sort of issue with it though. Which just seems odd.

Some people are ridiculously wealthy. The one we've picked up the owner said we needed to liase with the housekeeper and it was up to her how often we visited. So 4 times a year it is then. And the owner doesn't care, the cheque-book is managed by the housekeeper it seems. Ridiculous isn't it.
-
Wow nice catch!
How long will it take matt?
-
2 days Mick. 2 of us.
-
Well done.
Wisn i could find a few like that to add to the round.

Its not Nigella Lawson's former housekeeper by any chance ?
-
Dunno. Doubt it. She's a young Polish lass, been with them 5 years.

They are out there. More money than they know what to do with. Jobs like that really help with cash flow which helps.

Surely by the time your well known, successful and trusted enough to be allowed on to a very wealthy persons property cash flow
wouldn't be an issue.
Wealthy people don't mind paying a bit extra but you have to have the right background and reputation for the privilege.

Yeah I agree with that, we have a few. I wouldn't base a whole business on them but the lump sums of money really help. e.g. you could do one £400 job and get that money straight away or a whole days worth of individual houses for £400 but it could take weeks and weeks for the money to come, so the instant hit is a big bonus.
-
Most businesses have cash flow issues regardless.
However, a healthy cheque is always preferable to waiting and waiting for days and weeks for a days income to trickle in.

Ha no, I was making a joke like its 'My Dad is bigger than your Dad' - no issue, no malice.
-
;)
-
im best mates with duncan bannatynes daughter and i always say does your dad need his windows doing on his house? And she replied nah he gets them done for free i think!!! Im at a party sunday with him so if i dont come out with all the contracts for his 60 gyms i shall not be happy ;D
-
One of our better customers is a VERY famous actor. The first time we cleaned his windows submitted a bill for £120. He paid me £150. Nextime put a bill in for £150, he paid me £200. Third time bill for £200. Paid me £300. I said to thim this has to stop. I'm happy with what I charge you, his reply; my last film i got paid $6,000,000.00 for 8 weeks work!! Now I have the keys to his house and all of the codes for the alarms. We have settled on a price of £600.00 in and out. Takes about 2 hours for 3 of us (all trad). We also cut his grass do the gutters etc. Its all about being in the right place at the right time. I got this customer as a result of playing squash with his PA.
-
get one of these and sometimes more follow

Duncan Bannatyne was or still is a major share holder in uk cleaning from Newcastle they have the contract for all his gyms, hotels and office's.
You never know though, have a chat with him something may come of it.
A lot of it is not what you know but who you know.

2 days Mick. 2 of us.
£200 a day each? You should be looking at earning more than that a day mate.
-
True if its a partnership. How many on here have a 50/50 split partnership?
Do you?
-
Why put a price on it ? Sounds like your trying to make people jealous !!!!
Had a mate like that and he had nothing to show only a nice van and a DIY system living in a rented flat !!!!!
-
Because when I first used to come on here the success stories are what motivated me.
Maybe your mate will be a success story given enough time. I've been in this game 15 years and I'm only now getting anywhere near where I've always wanted be.
Easy come easy go Danny.
-
Easy come easy go is very true. £800 for one job sounded good but then when its explained its 2 people working for two days I can see why some on here say its pretty run of the mill. But then like I said earlier one £800 payment makes a big difference to cash flow.
-
nice one matt 8)

Nothing wrong in living in a rented flat is there?!

Im unsure as to why anyone was thinking it might be £800 for a days work for two men. ???
Why on earth does a big job automatically mean twice the hourly rate for some? Big job in theory ought to mean lower hourly rate if thats all its based on. However, the joy in it fo rme is - pull up and crack on for a day in the grounds of a fantastic and beautiful house with the associated gardens and a cheque at the end of it all before you go home.
-
OK boys put your Willies away.
What was your previous username slap bash?
Go on.....were all eager to know. :)

Thats a good way of putting it, no stress, no running about and a healthy bank balance :)

Bateman doesn't live in a flat, he lives next door to this, so he doesn't have to go far to enjoy his hobby.

You seem to have a fairly extensive selection of "outhouse" pictures Cozy......
More to this than meets the eye methinks.... ;)
;D
-
No Hectoid, just the ones that Bateman posts on his Facebook/dogging sites. ;D
-
2 days Mick. 2 of us.

Agreed! I thought it sounded like a good little job until he said it took him and his mate 2 days!!!! ;D

I very much doubt he us giving his mate half the money's.
Sounds like a good price to me. I'd be happy.
-
Exactly.
-
Matt prob pays his guy £60 a day so around £120 for the 2 days pocketing matt a nice £680 for 2 days work on a nice house with nice scenary, defo wouldnt complain at that.
Even if it was half and half 2 days at the same place to pocket £400 without any chasing or waiting is also a decent number.
-
Something along those lines Mick. Not quite, but close enough. ;)
-
Not quite sure why everyone jumps down my throat and accuses me of not telling the truth when I said that I don't take on any job under £25 (which I don't) Then some guy comes on here saying that he has just picked up a domestic job for £800, and everyone just accepts it? Very odd!!!! ???
-
If he had said he doesn't accept any job under £800 it might not be accepted :)
He didn't get called a willy waiver though which surprised me?!

Tell us more about the job. Why haven't they got a window cleaner, why choose to get one if they haven't bothered before, did they barter, is it a castle, etc
